ABOUT ME

"Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's the relationship between equals. Only when we know your own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity."
~Pema Chodron

About Me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I love what I do. As a LMHC, I have the great privilege of working closely with people and helping them as they go through change and transformation.

After earning my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Women’s Studies at Washington State University, I worked for several years at a Women’s Reproductive Health Clinic. As I gained experience in providing crisis counseling, I felt inspired to learn more about mental health and the therapeutic process. I attended Antioch University Seattle and earned a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling.

I have been practicing Buddhist meditation for the last 5 years and attend extended silent meditation retreats twice a year. Meditation keeps me grounded and has taught me how to befriend my own mind. I use meditation practices such as Mindfulness to work with clients who have negative thought patterns or have difficulty with their emotions. In my personal time I practice yoga and like to be outdoors, hiking, running, and playing tennis.
